It's simple... our goal /(s) are as follow (more might be added at a later time):
1. To bring as much of the Linux community together, as we can, to find ways to attract 3rd party software developers to port their product to the Linux Platform, while creating no vulnerability to Linux as we know it. And come up with a plan for how the software can be purchased, in a way which benefits those distros who so choose to adopt the project, while still making the effort worth while to the commercial developers... thus feeding both their willingness to port, and desire to follow with more software choices.
2. To attempt the same for hardware developers
3. To come up with a plan to lay the foundations for a potential Linux Software / Hardware Labs... (which is an idea brought forth by BigBearOmaha of BEL "Business Edition Linux" and others)
All, in a combined effort to bring Linux to the next level of diversity, and make it that much more attractive to the general public... and move toward becoming "the #1 OS platform" in the home, office, schools, medical facilities, etc.
